Push pins, pliers, and a jewellery hammer will be required to complete the task. Firstly, the watch should be placed on the wrist and fastened. The strap should be pinched together to make the watch fit snugly, but comfortably on the wrist. It will then be possible to count how many links need to be removed in order to make the strap fit properly.
Advertisement. Lift up the watch and pull the pin out from the other side using your fingers or needle-nose pliers. Repeat this with the pin on the other side of the link. Remove the link and keep the pins safe, as you need them to put the watch band back together. Repeat this with any additional links that need to be removed.
